SLP - Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
-
Certified as a SLP and Licensed by the state of Texas.
-
Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in communication and instructional strategies training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders, their parents, and other agencies
-
Ability to demonstrate competence in speech and language therapy, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relations
-
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing
-
Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction
-
Competence with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, zoom, and similar programs.
-
Ability to respond quickly to phone calls, text messages, and emails
-
Flexible availability which includes Monday through Friday 7:30-5PM.

Current on all required trainings/certifications: state license, board certification, CPR
-
Up-to-date driver’s license and insurance on file with HR Department
-
Transportation that is reliable and insured in the state of Texas

Job Goal:
​
SLP will provide all aspects of Speech therapy to our learners including assessments, progress reports and documentation for insurance to ensure progress and access to services for the learners at TAG.
SLP will collaborate with other professionals to ensure that the services provided are producing meaningful progress in the life of the child.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders

Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
-
Provide therapy to improve patients' communication skills
-
Collaborate with our ABA team, School professionals and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
-
Keep detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
